Great Goddess Books *(in no particular order)*
The Chalice and the Blade by Riane Eisler This is the book that first introduced me to our lost cultural heritage of the goddess. Not only does she address the goddess cultures of the past, she discusses what that lost heritage means for our future. I highly recommend this book, it changed my life. The Once and Future Goddess by Elinor Gadon Focusing on goddess imagery throughout the ages, this book looks at how or ideas and images of the feminine shape our psyche and our world. I enjoyed this book and the ideas it brought up. Priestesses by Norma Lorre Goodrich This fascinating book brings to light, and life, the stories of real women who were the center of civilization before the goddess was stripped from the face of history. I was spellbound by this book, what a great read! In All Her Names by Joseph Campbell and Charles Muses A collection of essays by premier thinkers, this book brings together some of the most profound ideas about the goddess's place in our world and in our idea of divinity. I enjoyed some of these articles more than others but found them all worthwhile. Whitmont *Daughters of the Goddess:* by Linda Johnsen *The White Goddess :* by Robert Graves Goddess : A Celebration in Art... by Jalaja Bonheim		Ancient Mirrors of Womanhood by Merlin Stone This book brings together images, prayers, rituals and legends of goddesses and heroines from around the globe. I found the information presented to be quite interesting and the more poetic aspects very moving The Myth of the Goddess by Anne Baring and Jules Cashford Here the authors look at the evolution of the image and idea of the goddess, plotting its course, and ours, through history. This book, though similar to some others I've read gave a real sense of continuity to its subject. The Civilization of the Goddess by Marija Gimbutas This scholarly and authoritative work by the an eminent anthropologist documents the goddess' role in the Neolithic civilizations of Europe. While I was completely fascinated by the archeological finds and evidence presented, I realize that some people may find it dry reading. The Goddesses and Gods of Old Europe by Marija Gimbutas This work, somewhat easier to read than the previous one, focuses on the artifacts of Neolithic Europe and what they tell us about the mainly goddess based religion of these early people. I am reading this one currently. Women in Celtic Myth by Moyra Caldecott This book is comparatively light reading for those who would like some good stories. Goddesses in Art by Lanier Graham An excellent coffee table book, this work is packed with wonderful photos of goddess art both past and present. I go to it often for inspiration. Goddesses in World Mythology by Martha Ann, Dorothy Myers Imel This is basically an encyclopedia of goddesses from around the world. It is an incredible compilation offering information on over 9500 goddess. I had no idea there were so many before I was given this fantastic book!
Glass Art Books
*Chihuly : Form from Fire* Chihuliy is probably my favorite modern glass artist. *Frank Lloyd Wright's Glass Designs...* This small book high lights some of the most interesting of his designs.		*Tiffany* Tiffany is often credited with the creation of modern fused glass as well as being the best glass artist of his era. *Frank Lloyd Wright's Stained Glass & Lightscreens* Though not a glass artist himself, Wright's unique sense of design and style set him a among the best.
