Bridget

has come to us, as both Celtic Goddess and Catholic Saint. She is symbolized by divine flame and healing water.  Her sacred pools, hidden in quiet glades, gave healing of body and soul to those who bathed there.

Her sacred flame, tended by virgin priestesses and passed on to the Catholic sisters, burnt for ages until doused by decree of the Bishop in 1220 A.D.

Each goddesses is a fascinating study and a part of our history too often forgotten. For more information check out some related links  and some recommended books.
