     Kali, daughter of Anger, wears a necklace of heads and a belt of human hands. She is the colors of death and blood and ticks off the hours of our lives. She is a difficult Goddess for modern women to understand, after all, we are taught to be "sugar and spice and everything nice." Perhaps that is why we need her to help us reclaim our anger and our strong, fearless, and darker half.

     Kali loves to pit herself against others and come out victorious. Fearless and relentless, she holds death as an equal partner in the cycle of life. She symbolizes the dark and fierce aspect of the feminine that we hide, disavow and whitewash, but never kill.
