Here Neit has swallowed the sun which glows in gold, kiln-fired paint from
her center. Gold stars sparkle from the iridescent deep blue surrounding the sun. This
piece is fantastic whether lit from in front or behind.
Made of double thick, semi
transparent glass, she is ready to hang either on a shepherds hook or from a chain.

Neit
is the Mother of Heaven: her body is the arch of the
sky while her fingers and toes rest upon the Earth.
Each evening she swallows the sun and gives birth to
it again each morning so it can daily traverse the
lovely arch of her body. Her image is painted
stretched over the sarcophagus of Egyptian kings,
that she might protect them and set their souls as
glowing white stars in the deep and endless blue of
her body.
Neit is far above this world of everyday hassles and
concerns. In myth she is the sky itself,
arching protectively over all her followers below.
She symbolizes the ethereal, universal and
protective nature of the feminine.
