Tien Hou Garden Goddess

Bring a bit of the stormy seas home with this Ocean Goddess, Tien Hou. Here deep marine blue and blue gray waves sweep across her body. Silver swirls around the clear, watery arms of this ocean protectress.

Tien Hou is ready to hang either on a shepherds hook or from a chain.

     Tien Hou's brothers were swept from their boat one day as they fished. Just then, far away, Tien Hou collapsed. As her mother tried to revive her body, her form swept from the sky to help her brothers back aboard.
     When next she collapsed they cared for her body, knowing she was saving others lost at sea.   Tien Hou's body passed away but the stories of her rescues continued to grow.

     Tien Hou is the self appointed guardian of those in dire straits. In legend she risks her own life to help those floundering in the ocean without hope. She symbolizes, not only self sacrifice, but courage and daring far above the call of duty.
